We are writing to thank you for your professional service provided to us in selling our house.
Initially, we put our house on sale using a "Commission Free" alternative in the hope to save the commission fee. We thought the market was hot and our house would sell on its own. We were wrong. Over a three month period, we listed our house low and high. We had many tire-kickers who was probably thinking of buying a house but had really not made up his/her mind yet. Others simply came to see how the "commission free" thing worked because they wanted to sell their houses privately as well. We had no way to qualify the potential buyers. After about 30 visitors over three months, we did not get even a single offer. Combining the costs of "Commission Free" listing and advertisings in The Edmonton Journal, The Examiner, etc., we spent over a thousand dollars.
Had seeing your track record, we knew our house would sell quickly once we listed with you. Quickly it went. We got an offer on the 4th day after we signed paper with Re/Max and sold our house on the 5th day. The selling price was higher than what was listed on the "Commission Free" alternative. What's more important was that the buyer was happy with the deal as well. She felt secure because real estate professionals were involved. In a private situation, a buyer may not feel as secure. Our experiment with private sale probably missed a few good buyers. More importantly, it waster our valuable time as both of us have demanding professional careers.
The support from you and your office during and after the sale was also appreciated. We particularly like the "To Do List for Seller". It really helped us organizing our move well in advance.
